ABOUT GOING THROUGH THE GATES

Going Through the Gates is a weekly Messianic Jewish broadcast that specializes in presenting the Scriptures from their historical and cultural Jewish context. Each week we aim to examine the Scriptures from their Jewish perspective just as Messiah Yeshua and His early Jewish disciples did, as they spread the Good News to both Jew and Gentile.

 

By using the Scriptures, early Messianic Jewish and non-Messianic rabbinical resources our hope is to reveal to our audience, the Jewishness of Messiah Yeshua. We will examine not only the Messianic Jewish writings of the Brit Chadashah, but also the writings of the Tanakh - the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings showing how they all point to Messiah Yeshua, the Holy One of Israel.

The message of HaBesorah (The Gospel) through Messianic Judaism provides both the Jew and the Gentile a challenge to see Messiah Yeshua as He is revealed through the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings. Going Through the Gates hopes to bring the reality of the Jewish Messiah to both Jew and Gentile. For the Jew, who seeks after signs (1 Corinthians 1:22a), our mission is to prove through the writings of the Tanakh that Yeshua is indeed the Promised Messiah foretold of through the prophets. For the Gentile, who seeks after wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:22b), our mission is to reveal that Messiah Yeshua did not forsake the Torah or His people, the Jews by replacing them with a new way - that the Brit Chadashah (New Covenant), is indeed Jewish and reveals a Jewish Messiah, who is Yeshua.

 

Going Through the Gates is part of the modern Messianic Jewish movement, which hopes to build a bridge between both the Jew and Gentile - reconciling a shared faith in Messiah Yeshua the Holy One of Israel. We aim to help the non-believing Jew come to faith in Yeshua and accept Him as their Messiah, while at the same time, help Gentile Christianity better understand its identity in the Jewish Messiah. Going Through the Gates is part of the Messianic Jewish prophetic movement, which by the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) is bringing Adonai's people to faith in Messiah Yeshua, as well as turning the hearts of Gentile believers back to Torah and their Biblical foundation.
